Wen Shusum, Committee Member

Wen Shusum is a veteran of Singapore media industry, with a wealth of experience in TV management, content development, as well as industry development. He first honed his skills in TVB and Ming Pao Evening News as a writer and journalist, and joined the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation and later was appointed the COO of MediaWorks Singapore. In 2005, Shusum joined the Media Development Authority (MDA) as the Director of Broadcast and Film. In 2008, Shu Sum joined Mark Burnett Productions Asia as its CEO. From November 2009 to late 2012, Shu Sum helmed Raintree Pictures and produced notable movies that strike a chord with many audiences.

Shusum has held the office of Chief Judge for the Asian Television Awards since 2006, and serves on many other committees. He is the Chairman of the Media and Communications MSTC at the Singapore Workforce Development Agency. As a board member of Singapore Film Commission, Shusum also chairs the new initiative, New Talent Feature Grant. He is also Board Member of the Advisory Board for Singapore Media Festival that advises Singapore International Film Festival, Screen Singapore and Asia TV Awards. Shusum now serves as an honorary advisor to Hong Kong Baptist University and was voted as Top 50 Asia Film Leader by American entertainment trade magazine, Variety.
