Guests announced the Launching of Xi’an-AWS Joint Innovation Center
On May 23rd 2018, the Launching Ceremony of Xi’an-Amazon AWS Joint Innovation Center & International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit were held in Chanba Ecological District of Xi’an. As the first Amazon AWS Joint Innovation Center in Western China, Xi’an-AWS JIC will rely on the unlimited possibility brought by the “cloud” to promote the development of cloud computing industry in Xi’an, accelerate innovation and high-level talent training , as well as advance the technological upgrading and internationalization transformation of local enterprises.

The International Entrepreneurship Competition of Xi’an-Amazon AWS Joint Innovation Center aims to build a bridge for domestic and foreign talents to come to Xi’an, and provide a platform for them to display, exchange their talents and cooperate with each other. It is hoped that after the operation of Xi’an-AWS JIC , the worldwide prestige of Amazon AWS and it’s rich market resources would be brought into full play to attract more carriers of innovation and talents, and help create a preferable environment for innovation and entrepreneurship in Xi’an. Launching Ceremony of International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit
The Xi’an-AWS Joint Innovation Center is located in Silk Road International Creative Dream-works on Eurasia Avenue in Chanba Eco-District of Xi’an. It has built-in Incubator, Accelerator, International Incubator and Cloud Computing Technology Talent Base. It focuses on promoting the digital transformation of local enterprises through the use of cloud computing technologies, realizing the connection between local start-ups and overseas well-known incubators, at the same time, introducing overseas start-ups to Xi’an-AWS JIC to accelerate the regional industrial innovation. With local universities, Tong Ze Cloud College (the Cloud Computing Technology Talent Base of Xi’an-AWS JIC) would set up a base for cloud talents which helps realize the combination of production, teaching and research, as well as train cloud computing technology talents and entrepreneurs.
Xi’an Municipal Government signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation with Amazon AWS in 2017
On September 17th 2017, the Municipal Government of Xi’an signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation with Amazon AWS, announcing that the project of Xi’an Joint Innovation Center would be jointly constructed by Xi’an Chanba Ecological District, Amazon AWS and Tong Ze Group. Xi’an-AWS JIC aims at promoting the industrial restructuring and upgrading of urban areas. Relying on Amazon AWS’s strong cloud computing technology foundation and efficient incubating & accelerating system, Xi’an-AWS JIC is hoped to become a world-class ecological platform for internet enterprises.
Xi’an has been creating a good development environment, providing support to Xi’an-AWS JIC in the fields of science and technology, talent, education, business etc. since the JIC project was established.
Hong Kong Tong Ze Group and Chanba Eco-District Investment Platform Enterprises will jointly initiate a one billion cloud industry fund to support the business development of the incubating enterprises in JIC. Amazon AWS will provide cloud services, technical training and technical guidance to those enterprises. It would use cloud computing, Internet of Things, big data technology and services to accelerate the innovation of enterprises, help them to save costs, improve business agility, and rapidly achieve their global IT deployment.
During the the International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit, AWS Entrepreneur’s Day and AWS Intelligent Star Entrepreneurship Competition finals were held. The event attracted many excellent teams from Asia, North America and Europe, as well as top entrepreneurs in the field of artificial intelligence. Entrepreneurial teams with impressive performance would become the first batch of settled enterprises in Xi’an-Amazon AWS Joint Innovation Center.
